Their wide selection of locally sourced meats are beautifully prepared and a board above the counter gives information of which farms each type of meat came from- provenance at its best.
Jackson’s pies have somewhat of a local following with their pork and stilton pie being exceptional in our eyes along with the pork and apple for those preferring a touch of sweetness to contrast the pork.
The range of bacon is stunning and their dry cured smoked back bacon is unrivalled in the area with very little shrinkage during cooking alongside just the right amount of smoky flavour.
In addition, Jacksons also stock freshly made breads, vegetables and local chutneys- making for wonderful additions to your larder with every visit.
And if you do join the Saturday morning queues then reward yourself with one of their bacon sandwiches. They are bursting at the seams and exceptional value for money.
